Close Up is a weeklong government studies program for high school students. The program takes place in Washington, D. C. It reflects the belief that a "close up" look at our government encourages students to grow in their understanding of the democratic process. As you can see, the program is full of interesting and stimulating activities. The group from BA will attend this year's program April 13 – 18, 2014. During an intensive week of government study we will participate in workshops, meet with members of Congress or their staffs, representatives of cabinet departments, lobbyists, embassy officials and members of the media. The program cost for each student, including instruction, travel, room, and meals are $1736. To meet this cost it is necessary for me to seek some financial help. Contributions are tax-deductible if checks are made payable to "Close Up Foundation and mailed to Bryan Adams High School. The Close Up Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501 (c) 3 organization.
