Bryan Adams High School JROTC celebrates 51st Military Ball

The 14th JROTC Battalion at Bryan Adams High School celebrated its 51st Anniversary and Military Ball on February 23, 2008 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6796. This year’s theme was Winter Wonderland, as the hall came alive with the colors silver, blue and white.
Guests included Bryan Adams Assistant Principal Mr. Clay Friedman and Mr. Harry Ray, father of this years’ battalion commander. A letter of Appreciation was presented to VFW Post Commander, Tony Bunton for the VFW’s continuing support to the Bryan Adams JROTC program.
The varsity male color guard presented the colors and the national anthem was beautifully sung by Sara Parra. During the punch bowl ceremony toasts were made to the President, to Bryan Adams HS, the Corps of Cadets, and to the Ladies. Dinner was served and the Corps Birthday cake cut. The Armed Drill Team performed and concluded with the traditional rifle arch which presented the Military ball Court for 2008.

The 2008 Military Ball and 51st Anniversary King and Queen were cadets Sylvan Ray and Ileana Garcia. Dancing continued until midnight. It was a grand night full of memories of the past while looking to the future. |
